I had a great time interviewing Mark C. Crowley, the author of “Lead from the Heart: Transformational Leadership for the 21st Century.” Mark is on a mission to fundamentally change how we lead people in the workplace. He believes that leaders must be willing to share emotions in the workplace in order to engage today’s workers. We know from neuroscience that all learning is emotional, so we had a lot of things to talk about.
Recognized as a workplace thought leader, Mark is a regular columnist for Fast Company Magazine and has had his work published in the Seattle Times, the Huffington Post, Reuters, CEO Magazine, USA Today, LinkedIn and the Great Place To Work Institute. He has interviewed CEOs and senior executives at high-performing companies who’ve already adopted the enlightened leadership practices he shared during the interview. His book is being used as a textbook in leadership courses at Northern Arizona. Embry-Riddle & San Diego State Universities.
Mark is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He’s the former National Sales Manager at one the nation’s largest financial services companies where he was named Leader of the Year. Mark lives in La Jolla, California.
