Have you ever facilitated a virtual training event? Do you know how to avoid the common pitfalls? Are you concerned your audience won’t participate? If so, then this 3.5 hour workshop is for YOU! It is focused on your own personal development learning skills to move from a traditional face to face facilitator into the world of VILT (Virtual Instructor Led Training). Throughout the workshop you will be creating your own action plan which you can use immediately after the session!
You will learn:
- How to overcome challenges, obstacles and issues to successfully facilitate virtual training
- Set the stage for a successful virtual training session (ground rules, etc.) ensuring instant rapport
- Use interactive tools such as polling, webcam, whiteboard, chat, chime-in, etc., which are available in most web-based platforms.
- Build interaction, engagement and assessments into your training plan
Margie Meacham will be modeling effective VILT techniques and methods.
All participants will be in the same room logged into the virtual platform so you will have the opportunity to experience the learning in two different ways, virtually and classroom.
Throughout the workshop participants will break into small groups to apply what they just learned. Debriefing combined with peer feedback will make this a rich learning experience not to be missed!
